Why can't I pay balance?

Thanks for the reply. I do not see "upcoming payment", however, after going over my statement I see the amount under card balance, as pending. The problem with that is it's been pending for more than a week. I'll wait to see if it post later on.

Good question, I don't see the trans, just that its pending. I think it may be for my new Pro 13 Max purchase, b/c all other transactions are accountable. I'll check back after I'm in receipt of the item. Thanks for the query, you've help shed light.

certain retailers can take a long time to post. Hotels are the worst I have seen. Where was this charge made?
You can pay your Apple Card balance at any time. Tap the "upcoming payment" section of the Apple Card in your Wallet. Pay any amount you choose.
Apple will not charge the card until they ship the device. If you are still waiting for them to send it then that is the issue.
Card shows a balance, but indicates I have nothing to pay right now.
