how do I find my old messages from last year

Some messages are no longer visible from last year... I save them forever and I cannot find last years.

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

You need to open the conversation and scroll up the page until you reach the messages you want to view. It will pause for. a few seconds to load more after you scroll up for a while.
