We understand that you're inquiring about the rear camera microphone on your device and what would happen if you covered it. We'd be happy to help.

Are you covering it with a case? If the microphone is covered, it may affect sound quality during usage such as during a phone or FaceTime call, or Siri hearing you when your iPhone screen is facing down. It would be recommended to use accessories supported accessories that do not block microphones or cameras on the device as this ca affect quality of features.
