Visibility in the weather app

I am in the UK - iOS 15.

the weather app is great, and everything is in the right units considering I live in the UK - Celsius, mm for rainfall, mph for wind etc.

however, visibility is listed in “km”. Which is useless considering we don’t use km, I’d like to know what visibility is in miles.

is there a way of changing this?

TL;DR, I am wanting the “visibility” section in the weather app to show miles instead of “km”. Can I do this?

Sadly I think you have misunderstood again.

in the UK we use imperial when discussing distances.. So it would make sense for “visibility” to be in *miles*.

I have no issues with the wind speed. As it’s correct and suits my purposes.

it is the visibility I have an issue with - this should surely be in imperial (miles), rather than metric (km).

everything else in the weather app is imperial. Except the visibility. Which seems wrong.

Hi Stavankra.

that makes sense - however; as mentioned above the weather app does use a combination of measurements. I think you’ve misunderstood my post.

the weather app on my phone, as mentioned has wind speed in *miles* per hour, but visibility in *kilometres*.

I want visibility to be in *miles* - as we use miles in the UK and not KM.

Probably you missed my edited post.

I understand that. The normal unit of wind speed is the knot (nautical mile per hour = 0.51 m sec-1 = 1.15 mph) in UK

This confusion is there in India too.

Wind Speed kph

Height of a human being (Feet or Inches)

Body Temperature of a human being (Fahrenheit)

Atmosphere temp (Weather) in Celcius

Weight in Kgs

Distance in Km

Room Sizes in Sq Feet.

Utter confusion!
