I can’t hear phone call unless it on speaker mode, I wash the receiver and speaker with brush, I did all phone settings done but it still doesn’t work

Mine did the exact same thing. I read the 12's had a manufacture issue on a small batch of the iPhone 12 and 12 pro only. I made an appt at a retailer through apple and was told it wasn't covered by apple but had to pay 29 plus tax for them to fix it. No clue why. You might see if it's covered. I'll post the link below.

I was making and getting phone calls on Thursday last week. When I tried to make calls on Monday (Oct 11), I can make the calls and I can be heard but there is no sound coming back to me unless I place it on speaker.
I have normal use of speaker and voice function otherwise.
The advice would be the same.
