How to convert a data file to an mp4 or quicktime file

Hello I downloaded my video from google drive it was downloading as a data file and when I opened it, quick time showed This document cannot be opened, QuickTime player cannot open files in the data format. I searched google and I couldn't find a data to QuickTime/mp4 conversion someone/somebody please help me thank you
