Retrieving Deleted Measages
I have mistakenly deleted some important text messages. I believe my iphone was backed up but i’m unsure if deleted messages can be retrieved.

Generally, no. If you do NOT use messages in iCloud and you have a backup, you can restore your device from that backup, but you will lose anything new since the backup was made.
