Email Authentication Issue - wrong email address entered at first setup

I don't know where to go for help, so I'll start here.

Got a new iphone a while back.

Set up my email accounts however I made typo that very first time.

My email address (not my real one)

xyz.zyx@provider.com, that's two words with dot in middle

instead I entered xyzzyx@provider.com, one word, missed the dot.

Now, when I send emails I get the "cannot send" authenticate required error.

When I click through (windows live) it shows the email with the error in it. I can't seem to change this in iphone so that it points toward my correct email.

Can log in correctly on ipad and other devices. Seems to be only this iphone.

I changed the default account everywhere I could to the correct email, I can receive but cannot send.

How can I disassociate the erroneous email?

Does this make sense?

Sorry folks, I took the plunge and just deleted that account from my list of email accounts. The problem went away.
