Fishing link from text

I clicked a link in a text message that redirected me to another website. I did not put any information in but am still concerned my phone may be at risk for information to be stolen. What should I do to ensure that I don’t have a virus or malware?

Clicking Suspicious Links I accidentally clicked a link on my iPhone (SE 2020, iOS 16.6) when I was tired. Safari gave me the ‘this website may be impersonating the site you wish to access to steal your personal or financial information’ warning but the URL displayed was still the one I unintentionally clicked. I then returned to the page I was on without doing/clicking anything. Did Safari actually block this site? I read that even if you end up on a malicious page, nothing can happen to an iPhone unless you click/download/permit something or type details, is this still true? As far as I know iOS doesn’t allow scans so is there anything else I should do now or look out for? Thanks.

Defence against phishing Is there a way to safely check the url a link is pointing to on an iPhone/iPad. Similar to how you can hover your mouse over a link on a PC and see the url displayed? I've tried pressing and holding my finger over a link on my iPhone, and it's opening up a preview of the site, and providing options to Open Link, Add to Reading List, Copy Link or Share. Is previewing the site safe, or is this just the same as having tapped the link? On an Android phone, the press and hold technique works, but from what I've read it's unclear whether there's a safe way to check links on iPhone. I want to educate my staff on the steps they can take to avoid falling for a phishing scam. Thank you

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Viruses / Malware / Spyware by merely clicking on a link in Safari/Messages/email if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS.

Clicking only sends the information to the sending server that your Phone number or email id is valid and live.
