com.apple.reminderkit error -3004

My work MacBook Pro and my home iMac are configured essentially identically (OS 11.6, same revs of common apps, etc.). However, while I'm able to create ToDos using third party calendars like Fantastical on my MBP, iPhone, and iPad, that function fails on the iMac, which kicks back a message that the operation can't be completed due to com.apple.reminderkit error -3004.

I've seen notes about other reminderkit errors (e.g., -3002) that are hosing the ToDo process across all devices but I can't figure out what the deal is with -3004 and why it's only screwing up my iMac. I've tried a complete deletion of the Fantastical app (app, config and helper files, etc.) but it's made no difference.

Any guidance on the Apple error and how to fix it?

iMac 24″, macOS 11.6

Hello Writer Guy in RI,

We see that you need help with an error on your Mac.

Great job troubleshooting the issue by reinstalling the app. Since the issue continues after reinstalling, let’s see if it continues in safe mode. Start up your Mac in safe mode

If the issue continues in safe mode, we recommend reaching out to the app developer. How to contact an app developer

If it doesn’t continue, that points to a third-party app or software as the cause of the issue.

We hope that helps.
