Cancel upgraded iCloud storage by downgrading to the free 5GB plan. See instructions in: Downgrade or cancel your iCloud+ plan - Apple Support

Also, if you have an iCloud Backup of your old iPhone and no longer need that backup you can use instructions in the following to delete it: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support
