How to reverse order of tracks in a playlist?

I have a playlist (regular, not Smart Playlist). It had a lot of audiobook chapters, and when I added a new book (it was scanned from an audio CD), its 81 chapters got added in reverse order - from 81 to 1. I want to have them in there in ascending order, and I don't want to reverse the whole playlist because the others are correct. How do I change the order of a section of the playlist (or remove them and re-add again, if there's a better way to add them so that they end up in order from 1 to 81)?

There isn't a way to do this with part of a list, so you'll likely need to copy the tracks that are in the wrong order into a new list, flip them there, remove from the original list, then drag in the new order.

If you have a playlist showing tracks in the order that you want them you can right-click on the playlist name in the side bar and use Copy to Play Order. Then select the left-most column of numbers as the sort-column (the Play Order) and make sure the chevron is pointed upwards to see the play order that has been captured. If you need to invert the list click the chevron again, copy to play order, then click the chevron one more time.

Hello

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand some of your playlist isn't showing in the correct order. We're happy to assist you with this.

We understand that your playlist on your iPhone and iPad is in reverse order from what it is on the computer. The first thing we would suggest checking is if your iPhone is set to sort your playlist in ascending or descending order. If you go to the songs view and look at the small triangle, right click on the playlist name and Copy to Play order and click the triangle to reverse the list.

Best Regards.
