Induction For New Employees

Hey, I need some help, I'm currently doing some research for a recruitment class at college. I need to create an induction checklist for new employees based non the company of our choice. I chose Apple and unfortunately Apples secrecy is making this very difficult. Is there any employees who can give me some insight to what your experience was on your first day, did you receive a welcome pack, orientation, induction, training etc?

What about your official first day in your field (Genius Bar) like, where you shown around, what was involved.

Would really appreciate the help cause otherwise I'm stuck.

Thanks

Thanks guys I know this is just a user community but I do know that some employees including former employees are in the community section too, so was worth a shot.

The only participating Apple employees are the Community Moderators and Community Specialists. Their participation is limited to their assigned work roles. They won't tell you anything about Apple outside of those narrow parameters.

I may try Twitter and see if I can get a response. :)

Try LinkedIn too. There are many Apple employees who literally change their name to something like "Jim Bigshot - Apple is hiring!!!". But I still think Twitter would be best for the uncensored stories. Even there, current employees won't say much. But Twitter participation seems to be creating more and more former Apple employees these days.
