Hello DS386,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're here for support.

To help get News to update on your Apple Watch, try restarting both your Apple Watch and paired iPhone. This step sounds simple, but can resolve some unique issues.

DS386,

Thanks for getting back in touch with us with those additional details.

Depending on whether you restrict stories, your Entertainment topic feed might not show Top Stories and Trending Stories. Does this seem to be the reason why you're not seeing News refresh? Check out the section "Read a news story" in the user guide below to learn more:

Read news stories on Apple Watch

If this doesn't seem to be the case, try connecting your Apple Watch and iPhone to another reliable network, then try again. This can help rule out a network-related issue.

Also, check to see that both of your devices are fully updated to be sure they have the latest software fixes. If an update is available for your iPhone, have a current back up to iCloud or to a computer.

DS386,

The latest software versions to date are watchOS 8.0.1 and iOS 5.0.2. If both your devices are already on the latest versions, then try unpairing then repairing your Apple Watch to your iPhone. This step will install a fresh copy of watchOS on the Apple Watch, and it might help.
