Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

“iMessage Activation: An error occurred during activation, please try again.”

So I recently figured out that my iMessage and FaceTime was no longer working, so I go to my settings > messages, and it says that my iMessage isn’t activated, so I think nothing of it and turn it on but it said “Message Activation: An error occurred during activation, please try again.” I tried again and it didn’t work. Need help ASAP.

This is a great question, most times this could be due to multiple issues. I assume that your not in the process of transferring a number to a new carrier as this will cause some issues until it completes.


Other than that though check your settings to ensure your device is up to date in settings > general > software update.


If your phone is up to date, check your date and time settings and restart your device and try again if it still fails I would recommend calling Apple Support or reaching out to Apples chat support, both links are provided below.
