Notify when left behind option not showing up for Airpod Pros

I've got my Airpod Pros updated to the latest firmware (4A400) and am using an iPhone 13.

The Notify When Left Behind option isn't showing up in the Find My app for the Airpod Pros. The Notify When Left Behind option is showing up for my iPhone and Apple Watch just not the Airpods.

I tried resetting and connecting my Airpods but that didn't fix the issue. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the option to show up?

That’s odd, I did everything from a website called myhealthyapple . com and the page was about “Notify when left behind notifications not working or showing up on iPhone or Apple Watch?“ I cleared iCloud space on my phone, reset my AirPods, forgot the device, made sure Find My was on in icloud, in the general settings, in location settings, and in the about settings when you click on AirPods, updated my AirPods, my AirPods were accidentally linked to my sisters Apple ID account so the notifications might’ve even been on for her phone instead of mine. Hope you figure it out!

Hello md-dazzler,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to view the option of "Notify When Left Behind" for your AirPods Pro through the Find My app. We can help point you in the right direction.

There's a recent update available for your iPhone 13. Let's make sure that your iPhone has iOS 15.0.2 installed: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then, let's make sure the feature of, "Find My network" is turned on for your AirPods Pro via the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone. For directions, please follow the section in this article that says, "How to add your AirPods, Apple Watch or Beats product to Find My": Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac

Please let us know if that helps.

Kind regards.

This is exactly the same situation that I’m in. I have AirPod Pros, an iPhone 11 and an iPad Pro. On the iPad Pro it shows Notify when left behind enabled for my iPhone, yet on my iPhone “notify when left behind” is not listed as an option. Apple Support told me that the “notify when left behind” feature is not available for AirPod Pros on iPhone 11’s but rather must have at least an iPhone 12. However, “notify when left behind” is available (and enabled) for other devices, like my iPhone and my iPad Pro. Seems strange that it works for some devices but not AirPod Pros.

I have exactly the same issue. Oddly on my iPad they appear correctly and and show that Notify when left behind is enabled on my iPhone but the whole section for Notify when left behind doesn’t appear at all on my iPhone for AirPods Pro. I I have no solution I’m afraid. But I’m hoping by posting here someone may have. I’ve tried unpairing. Resetting. Deleting from icloud. I even tried Apple support who didn’t appear to understand the issue despite sending screen shots.

same here

on iPhone 6 s showing up, on iPhone 8 not showing up (main phone and initial connect) on all other apple products showing up, tried reset, reconnecting - didn't work, tried connecting with other devices. it doesn't show up on the initial connection device and is always reverting back to it not showing up there (it says that it "leave behind" activated for the initial one) so my guess it got something to do with the initial connection process: i renamed my main iPhone and air pods pro just took the name that the left behind is activated there with the new name.

Apple > your call now!

devices:

Iphone 8 Main (leave behind not showing up)

Iphone 6s (showing up but can't change home add)

iPad mini (showing up but can't change home add)

iMac 24" (showing up but can't change home add)

apple watch 6 (showing up but can't change home add)

Thanks for the help bryanr14! I'm on iOS 15.02. I don't see the Find My Network option in my Airpod Pro bluetooth settings. I tried looking for it when they are connected to Bluetooth and not connected and I don't see it anywhere. I haven't seen a screenshot anywhere showing it.

It's weird because the Find My Network option is showing up fine for my iPhone, Apple Watch and other devices. Just not showing up for the Airpod Pros. Any suggestions?

Notify when left behind option does not appear at all for my son’s AirPods 3rd generation updated with latest firmware on his iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 15.2. We have tried turning off and on the Find My Network for the AirPods etc and the switch for Notify When Left behind is simply not there. The switch is there for his iPad and M1 MacBook Air - just not on the AirPods 3rd Gen.
