I lost my macbook air and I am trying to locate through findmy device but unfortunately my location service is set to off

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

Even if one could actively Track the device - it would be dangerous to attempt to retrieve it. Much better to pass this info to Authorities

Please, read all the options in previous link. One can put the device is Lost Mode or even Wipe the drive Remotely to Protect the Data on the device from Unauthorized usage.


1 - Suggest, also to log into https://appleid.apple.com/ using your Apple ID and Password and change the password.


2 - Enable 2 Factor Authorization


3 - Checklist: If you want to see if anyone else has access to your device or accounts


4 - Commence changing passwords to all Websites that could reveal Personal Information and / or Banking information.
