You were using an iPhone in which Apple ID is known but password is forgotten , if you still posses the device reset the password If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

You can also use the link and reset password using a browser https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid#!&section=appleid

in your new iPhone use the same apple id and password Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
