Apple Music skipping tracks repeatedly at the same point

I see this is a widely reported problem which I have just started to experience.

When playing songs (mp3s) in Apple Music, the song will play for 2 minutes 13 seconds and then skip to the end and play the next track for the same duration before skipping again. This is now happening both to tracks that have been on my hard drive for a long time and ones that are newly imported.

My Apple Music library is about 67 days or 205gb. My computer is a MacBook Pro 2017 model with a 1tb hard drive. Apple Music is up to date at version 1.1.6.37. My MacOS is up to date at version 11.6 (20G165).

Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem, each time the tracks continue to skip at the same point:

• Reinstalled the OS.
• Set up a second user on my computer, shared the music library with that user and played the same tracks that skip on my main profile. The continue to skip.
• Deleted some songs and reimported them via File > Import.
• Deleted some songs and reimported them by adding them to the Automatically Add to Music folder.
• Logged out of my iCloud account and logged back in.
• Quit and relaunched Apple Music.
• Restarted the laptop.
• Restarted the laptop is safe mode.
• Run First Aid from Disk Utility. No problems found.
• Played the mp3 files in the Finder - songs do not skip at all.
• Checked the Stop time on the skipping files in Music.
• Slightly changed the Stop on the skipping files in Music.

There is clearly an issue with the Apple Music library. Please tell me how to fix this issue as it is really frustrating - Apple Music has become unusable.
