Why can’t you put notes in alphabetical order?

It sounds like you want to sort your Notes in alphabetical order and we’re happy to help. 

You can Sort, Search and organize your notes in folders on iPhone. "To sort your notes inside of folders:

1. Go to the folder that you want to sort.
2. Tap the More button , then tap Sort Notes By.
3. Choose how you want to sort your notes.*

To sort all of your notes automatically, go to Settings > Notes, and tap Sort Notes By. Then choose how you want to sort your notes."

*If you choose Title to Sort Notes By, then that should put the Notes in alphabetical order.

I have tried this several times and it doesn’t sort alphabetically. There seems to be several groups that are alphabetical but not everything.

When my automatic updates is turned on why doesn’t it update over night
