Macbook air M1 doesn't have startup options

I've recently bought a used Macbook air M1 and used it for a while. Then I saw a software updaten notification, I wanted to install it but I couldn't. I also get some pop ups from safari and the App store is called "App Store". I tried to get in recovery mode and to format my ssd but I get this in my screen (see picture). I can still reboot but don't have any startup options. Any suggestions?

Hello there AS024,

Thanks for posting here on the Apple Support Communities! This is a place where other Apple users can submit questions or respond to others to help lend a hand. Let's take a closer look as we do our best to provide some additional insight.

We see you're stuck at this screen after an update. To get started, did you already trying going to the website shown in the screenshot? If not, that link should take you here: If your Mac starts up to an exclamation point in a circle

As mentioned in the same resource, you'll need another Mac for this process. If you don't have access to another Mac or still have issues with those steps, then you'll need to contact Apple Support or make an appointment at a local Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store: Find Locations.

We hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.

Take care.
