Multicam File: All Audio Tracks Work Except One

I have a multicam file with data from 7 different cameras that I am syncing up. It's a sporting event so not all of them have similar audio so I can't sync them automatically. When I switch to the video and audio of each track, all of them work except for one. I can still see the audio waves in the preview and when I'm in timeline mode it will play the audio from said track if I apply it. That being said it is a pain to sync this track without having audio that I can monitor. If anyone has pointers please let me know.

An easy and quick thing to try is resetting FCP preferences. Hold command and option while launching FCP. It will open the default Untitled library. Reset the prefs the way you like (turn off Background rendering, etc.) and open the library you were working on. See if the problem is fixed.

If resetting the prefs didn't change anything, try making a duplicate of the multicam, then in that duplicate, add another angle and drag in SEAN's camera. You now have two angles with the SEAN's footage. Delete the original SEAN angle. Can you hear SEAN's audio now?

Others can chime in, but other than Chrome, I don’t see any obvious problems. Chrome is known to be problematic with the ProApps. Search here for discussions on it. The keystone daemons cause all sorts of problems. Follow the instructions at https://chromeisbad.com to completely remove the daemons and Chrome from your machine and see if it behaves better. It’s not enough to just delete the Chrome app.

Unfortunately neither of those options seems to have helped. Even if I create a new Multicam clip it's always SEAN's angle that is mute. I should note that when I preview the files in the FCP browser I can't hear the audio either, but I can see the audio meter next to the timecode reacting as if there was audio. I tried creating optimized media and that didn't work either. I can hear the audio when I open the files in Finder/Quicktime or if i drag the files from the browser to a timeline but I can't hear them in Multicam mode.

I don't see anything odd in QT's inspector window of SEAN's footage.

Are you setting the multicam specs with Custom or letting it decide with Automatic? What are the specs of the multicam clip? Please post a screenshot of the inspector.

Have you tried optimizing SEAN's clip? This will create a ProRes file which can be large so make sure you've got available disk space.
