Thanks for the reply.

Hope Apple will remove Apple ID requirement, it's cumbersome to share files this way.

Hi Hapumatemaatika,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Here to help.

We understand you are inquiring on options for others to view files shared with iCloud Drive. We've attached more about this process at the link below.

Share folders with iCloud Drive

Any participants will need to sign in with an Apple ID to view or edit content shared through iCloud Drive. The files can be viewed on any device that can access iCloud.com on the web, but an Apple ID is required to sign in. This account can be created for free and does not require owning an Apple device.

We hope this helps! Let us know if we can assist further.

Hi Hapumatemaatika,

Thanks for following up.

If you need to share larger files or folders, compressing these files as a ZIP may help you to share files in other ways, such as via email.

The following resource will assist with creating and opening ZIP files using the Files app on iPhone or iPad.

How to open ZIP files on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Hope this helps. Cheers!
