Disable privacy browsing in safari iOS 15

i don’t want privacy mode on my iPad Air 2, I eventually manage to turn it off for a session, but when I open a bookmark e.g, Amazon, it comes back in privacy mode again. I don’t want privacy mode AT ALL, is there a way to disable this please, feel this has been forced upon me and I don’t want it thank you

I presume you refer to Private Browsing - and it is this mode that you are attempting to escape…

First, if the Safari Sidebar is not visible, tap the Sidebar icon/button at top-left of the Safari screen. A menu will now be visible, the two uppermost being relevant to your issue.

Tap the N Tabs (N being the number of open tabs in your regular browsing window); this will switch you to normal everyday browsing. The currently selected browsing mode is highlighted with a blue background.

If instead you tap Private, you will select Private Browsing mode - and this is perhaps the mode that you are attempting to avoid.

When you are done, you can close/hide the Safari Sidebar by tapping the Sidebar icon at top-left.

Odd, how the only 2 options are Helpful OR This solved my question, there should be a third choice, my question is NOT resolved

this didn’t work, when clicking on the N tab I got four mini browser windows, each as they were before, so if opened the ones that were set to private are still the same, if I close all these then open e.g. Amazon it goes straight into private browsing…..the only way I have found, from exhaustive research is to disable adult content then this turns it off, odd that Apple make changes with no simple way to turn them off, all that is needed is an option Enable Or Disable Private browsing, simple really…..will have to use chrome or Firefox as Safari is far too annoying as it is now

I guess the hosts of this platform see little value in a third button - as conversation is likely to continue (as now) if the issue remains unresolved.

As for your problem, your description certainly implies that something is awry. Perhaps if you post a screenshot of your issue, it will be easier to determine what may be happening. Otherwise, I can only suggest that you seek assistance directly from Apple Support using the Get Support link at top-right of this page.

Beyond these suggestions, you have few low-impact options to explore - one of which is to reset your iPad settings:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings

This reset will not erase any data - but will just reset the iPad settings.
