ipod touch activation lock

My ipod touch runs in my office and i noticed it wasnt playing yesterday. When I went to check on it, it was on a restart screen, with "activation lock" on and some random apple id I dont know/have never seen "a*****@icloud.com" on it and bc of that I am literally locked out of my own ipod touch? Its like someone logged me out, logged in and setup activation lock and then rebooted it? Any ideas?
