Haptic alerts stopped working for messages on Apple Watch

Recently updated IOS on my iPhone to 15.01 and apple watch 8.0.1

Haptic alerts stopped working for messages. Haptics do work for other things, though. I've unpaired and repaired the watch to the phone, checked that notifications are on but when I get a message I'm not getting the haptic response on my watch. Sadly I rely on that to know when I have a new message.

No haptic feedback after receiving a text message on Apple Watch I recently received an Apple Watch Series 7 as a gift and set it up as brand new alongside an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Since setting it up I do not receive a haptic vibration when receiving an incoming message in the messages app. I have haptic feedback enabled in notifications settings (prominent) - it also occurs on standard haptic feedback. I do receive the prominent haptic feedback when I receive a Twitter notification, so it's not the haptic engine hardware on the device. It seemed to occur after upgrading to WatchOS 9 on the device. Model: A2477 Version: 9.0.2 - build 20R383 Any help would be most welcome.

Apple Watch 7 - no haptic or sound notifications only for Messages I’ve had my watch a month now, I get sound and haptic notifications for everything except Messages. Phone and Watch are running the latest iOS. I’ve re-paired. I’ve factory reset the Watch. I’ve reset the phone’s Network Settings. I’ve turned sounds off and on. Do Not Disturb on and off. Theater mode on and off. I’ve tried turning the notification settings for Messages off and on. I’ve tried mirroring the phone’s notification settings. Nothing I have found elsewhere is working.

Muted iMessage Conversation Notifications on Apple Watch watchOS 9.3.1 iOS 16.3.1 Even with notifications set to “mirror iPhone“ the notifications from muted conversations are still showing up on my Apple Watch. This limits the utility of the Apple Watch and should be fixed by Apple urgently. It has been broken for over a year. Other threads in the Apple Discussions forums suggest fixes none of which work. Apple won’t even acknowledge that this is a bug. Can I get a witness here? Thanks.
