iPad zoomed mode in display settings

I own both an iPhone and iPad and I try to keep the layout the same on both due to my visual impairment. But something changed with iPadOS 15 which has affected my workflow. There is a zoomed option in the display settings which when turned on makes things larger on screen as a whole. One of the things “zoomed” was the layout of apps on a page where it would limit the number of apps or folders to 4 columns on the screen. This matched the iPhone screen. This helped because I could memorize the location of things without having to look closely at the app icons or folder names. I could recognize the general color of the app icon and its location and know exactly what it was. Of course now I’m having trouble finding things easily and it’ll most likely be difficult to keep things in sync between my iPhone and iPad. Have I just missed this setting somewhere else? Hope that makes sense to any sighted people!

Hi v6v6v6,

Thanks for contacting the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you'd like to adjust your zoom settings on your iPad to match your iPhone's zoom settings.

Here's a great resources, including additional links at the bottom, which will show you how to adjust the zoom settings on your iPad in iPadOS 15: Magnify the iPad screen with Display Zoom

We hope this helps.

Take care!
