Is there a way to disable apple watch's crown?

Hey,

My apple watch's crown stopped working abruptly. I have restarted it several times but it's still dead.

Which is fine, except for ghost scrolling. Apps/buttons move around randomly. Even my battery drains down pretty quickly. I suspect this random scrolling might be the reason.

This makes the watch completely unusable.

So, is there a way to disable the crown entirely somehow?
