Iphone screen keeps dimming

This question has been asked for years in multiple places, and I haven't seen an answer for it yet. So I wanted to ask again. I have an iphone 12 mini and I am having the auto dimming issue that many many others have had over the years. Has there been any kind of fix for this? Before we start on the idiotic stuff, yes all the settings are OFF. TrueTone is OFF, Autobrightness is OFF, and the screen isn't preparing to lock. It's literally in the middle of use. I will be playing a game for example, and it'll dim right in the middle of me playing it. Is this EVER going to be fixed?
