You can move or copy files directly from your iCloud Drive to a local disk using the Finder on your Mac.


I always suggest doing a copy first to validate your files rather than doing a move, as the move action will delete them from iCloud Drive as part of the process. This may give you some piece of mind as some files may not be recoverable once they have been deleted from iCloud Drive.
