so i think it was when i updated to IOS 15, my iphone storage has been increasing, and yes, increasing. what i mean is that i used to have only 4 GB left out of 64 bc i used up 60 GB, but i noticed that its now at 22 GB out 64 and I have no clue why it went down. can anyone help?

There is a reporting issue with iOS 15.0.1, which was not fixed in iOS 15.0.2. Just about every person I know who updated to 15.0.1 all of the sudden has more space on their phone as reported in Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
It doesn't mean you really have more space. It is simply a reporting error. My phone's memory increased by more than 20GB. But it's not real.

When you update, there is backup & restore which lower your ("Other") cache.
FYI: For an iPhone to function flawlessly, you should have at least 5 GB free.
Hello! Have you been able to resolve this issue?? My iPhone 11 showed I had used up about 37GB of space now it’s says I have only used 23GB, this morning it said I have only used 7GB. Something is not right I know I am using more GB than what my phone is telling me.
How would I resolve this issue? I don't work for Apple. We are all users on this user to user only forum. We have to wait for Apple, who is aware of the issue to release an update which will address this.
nothing has changed for me. i would think it is the update but idk.
