I got a new iPhone and I handed down my old one. I made sure to do a backup before I transferred my data. When I went to log into the app that I have on the new phone, all of the saved passwords that I had on my old phone were gone. I now have no saved passwords and my old phone no longer has my account on it. What can I do to retrieve those passwords?

Verify this Device:
Verify that you are logged in to this account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support
Enable Keychain:
Turn on Apple Keychain on this and on other devices. If ever used, it should all show up and sync, given they are synced to your account, and that Keychain has the passwords in it. Go Here: Set up iCloud Keychain - Apple Support

Have a Hardcopy?
Then, you'll have to look elsewhere. This a good reason as to why to keep a handwritten, hardcopy of your passwords (stored in a secret location that only your are aware of, and only you have access to).
