How to create My OneDrive in Locations of Files in iPad Pro 11?

I would like to move some files in Files to my OneDrive. However, my Locations do not have OneDrive but have other cloud locations such as iCloud Drive, Adobe Document Cloud, Dropbox, SanDisk Connect, etc. Can you tell me how to add OneDrive under Locations. I have OneDrive App installed and working correctly in the iPad. Thanks and regards.

Dear chuckbl,

I have read the Apply instructions and followed to proceed the setup. Unfortunately I could not follow the steps since no way to find the relevant features as below:-

I could not follow the step 3 and 4 since there is no Browse tab and 3 dots. My iPad is using iOS 14.7.1 which is the latest one for iPad Pro. I am grateful is you could give me further advice to accomplish it. Thanks!

Dear LotusPilot,

Thanks for your advice! I added OneDrive in sidebar using Edit Sidebar. However it still did not work to show the contents of OneDrive like below screen capture.

Seems lots of catches! Any pointer to get rid of it?

In terms of iPadOS, I found all updates from Software Update and updated them successfully. It is strange that Automatic Updates has been turned On and there was no update alert. Thus I seldom check the Software Update setting.

I am able to see OneDrive as an option to toggle on/off in the left pane of Files App and after the selection of OneDrive and tab Done, I select the OneDrive in the left pane and the error message displays in the right contents pane.

Very strange again! I repeated to toggle on/off of all options a couple of times and tab Done. Once I select OneDrive on the left pane, it shows all files in right Contents pane - job accomplished!! Magic!! Anyway thanks for your guidance and patience!

Hello Ray Li1,

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about OneDrive not showing up in the Locations section of the Files app.

Does that still continue after following the steps from the “Use third-party apps in Files” section of this article? Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If so, you’ll want to reach out to Microsoft for further assistance, per that article: Microsoft Support

Take care.

Assuming that you have already installed the OneDrive App on your iPad (this App being required to add integration with the native Files App) - from the menu in the Files sidebar of your second image, tap the Edit button. If not already enabled, you will see an entry for OneDrive.

Be aware that iPadOS 14.7.1 has been superseded by iPadOS 14.8 - the latter including critical security updates. Your iPad is also capable of update to iPadOS 15.0.2.
