Can a disabled iPhone XR be unlocked without losing the data?

Can my other iPhone XR which is disabled be unlocked without losing the data? It has a 4 digit passcode

To add onto Neil's point, so as long as you can enter the 4 digit passcode correctly, you are able to keep on to the data in the iPhone. Otherwise, in order to bypass "iPhone is disabled" message outside iOS, you must erase the iPhone by placing into Recovery Mode. Follow the steps in the following link in order to perform it > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306


However, before you do, what can help is if you login to https://www.icloud.com with your Apple ID and passcode, access Account Settings tab in the top right by highlighting over your Apple ID avatar. Then, locate and select your iPhone in the Devices list, and your information to when the latest iPhone backup performed will show.
