Thanks for your helpful reply. I figured that was the case, but I didn’t want to be missing out on something if using Apple Card over the phone were possible.

Not usually. Apple Pay is a contactless method of using your existing cards.

You can use the Apple Card credit card over the phone and you can earn cash back over the phone but you are technically not using Apple Pay over the phone.
