I am signed into Apple ID on phone but when I do it on the App Store it says could no sign in

I can’t update youtube because i have to sign in itunes but can’t sign in itunes why!!!!….?

Tried to download an app from AppStore tonight and got a message that my account was not recognized. Yet I can sign into this Apple website with the same ID and password that was rejected by the AppStore. Why?
