disable trackpad on MacBook Pro 2010 High Sierra 10.13 I want to disable the trackpad and cannot find how to do it. Online articles suggest going to the accessibility panel and checking a box to disable trackpad. There is no box like this on High Sierra. Also suggested that you disable trackpad by enabling mouse keys, but then the keyboard does not work.

You can address all of the trackpad settings by clicking System Preferences > Trackpad.

There is no "default settings" button, per se, but everything can be adjusted, enabled or disabled there, including point & click, scroll & zoom and gestures.
