Home Never Synced

I am currently using OS X Server 10.6.4 in a AD/OD relationship with an AD master. The AD server is 2008 R2 and is running functional level 2003. Recently, I've begun having machines that will, after working for months, return with a "Home Never Synced" status in the Mobile Account sync status.

All of our users are using managed preferences, and are using portable home directories. We are syncing Documents, Desktop, and Library (sans a few preferences such as Adobe prefs, Tom Tom, etc...)

This issue appears to be machine related and I'm LOST... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is the errors I found in console while after the failed sync.

8/4/10 5:04:55 PM HomeSync[192] HomeSync.getSyncSet: [[SFFileSyncManager sharedFileSyncManager] createPHDSyncSetWithName:"HomeSync_Mirror" remoteXMLSpec:"/Users/username" mountSuffixPath:"smb://svr-03.server.intra/users"] returned nil!
