I have now macOS Big Sur 11.6 in my macbook air,....should i use macOs Catalina instead or is it better Big Sur?

If the computer, as new, came with Big Sur - one can not downgrade to anything older than Big Sur.

Catalina is a step backwards...
If your Computer shipped with Big Sur, you can not go backwards.

Hi, i am the opposite. After learning my lesson upgrading early in the life of OSX, i typically wait a long time to upgrade. I am on Catalina 10.15.7 and I am wondering if its worth it to go to BigSur, expecially since its been out a while and bugs fixed, or wait for Monterrey? Any and all help appreciated!
