Safari > Preferences > Tabs (at top of Preferences window) > uncheck "Show color in tab bar."
Safari > Preferences > Tabs (at top of Preferences window) > uncheck "Show color in tab bar."
There is no such choice in Safari 15.1 (17612.2.9.1.20)=>Preferences=>Tabs window
