I bought a apple gift card to renew my apple music but i can’t pay for the subscription because my old credit card on file won’t let me and it also won’t let me remove the card

How do i remove a fails credit card (i don’t use it anymore and when i do try to remove it, it says there’s an active subscription and i checked to see if there was ur there was none

If you have a subscription, you are required to have a payment method on file. Try adding a new card, and then promote it to the primary payment method to see if you can remove the old card.
