Array wont delete

Hi, I'm brand new to Xserve RAID. Trying to get and Xserve RAID that has been dormant for a while up and running again. the top has all 7 drives together in a functioning array that i wan tot leave alone. The bottom has two drives in an array and the spares i just put in. I want to delete the existing array for 8-14 and create a new one from 5 drives.

However, when i go to delete the array with RAID admin, it acts as though it's deleting, the raid controller restarts but the raid i just deleted is still there. even after a restart of the Xserve RAID and the host G5.

help appreciated.
