This is a strange issue but I have many albums and have them in specific folders. When I arrange and organize them I notice that overtime they will be taken out of their folders or just rearranged differently. Is there any way to stop this or has anyone seen this before? Latest version of photos and macos.

Do you use iCloud Photos? We ask because as outlined in Set up and use iCloud Photos, "Any changes you make to your collection on one device change on your other devices too."
Also, make sure all of your devices are updated to the latest available version:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you continue to experience issues, was anything updated or changed when this started occurring? Do you notice this occurring when performing any specific action?

Unfortunately they referred me here. Hopefully someone else has this issue it’s been long term
Thanks! iCloud is turned on and all apps and OS are up to date. The issue is that albums moved to folders or changed from one position or another do not respect where they are moved after several minutes. I am moving albums between folders and nested folders and occasionally sorting by name, date, etc the albums.
