What is the best way to downgrade ones OS? For example, Big Sur to Catalina? Also, when I first did this, it changed the HD desktop icon to a slightly different one. The original just said Macintosh HD. The 2nd says, Macintosh HD-Data with an arrow at the bottom left corner. How do I get rid of that, and back to the proper Macintosh HD?

Later versions of MacOS have moved all the invariant MacOS system files to a locked Volume that is only accessible through the System. Seeing that second Volume is a feature, NOT A DEFECT.
