If the issue is presented in Normal Mode but NOT in Safe Mode
Suggest downloading the Application Etrecheck https://etrecheck.com directly from a well Respected ASC Contributor.
The application is free or paid from added features.
Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).
It will take a Snap Shot - both the hardware and software.
The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.
Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )
We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.
Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.
This includes AntiVirus, Cleaners, Optimizes, UnInstaller etc.

We are talking about the Builtin Keyboard ??
How to reset the SMC of your Mac and perform this action three time consecutively - then, test the keyboard.
If still happening - restart in Safe Mode - does the issue still happen ??
PS the screen shot looks like Big Sur - correct.
HI Peter, thanks for such a fast response, yet it is BIG Sur, i could not remember ( as of course i could not log in) managed to get up into Safe mode right now, and yes it is the built in key board ( UK) i will try and re-boot to see if its is fixed, thank you once again, it is very much appreciated that help is at hand
HI, Thanks for your help, shutdown and re-booted 3 times now with success, so not sure what was happening, but i have learnt a few things in this process, and your guidance was appreciated

Safe Mode does a number of things behind the scenes and without the need of user actions. Sometimes, when an upgrade is done - " things get out of shape " sort of speak on the computer. The Safe Mode put things right again
