Why did they change the usb charger entry and don’t even provide a plug?

i bought an iPhone 12 mini yesterday in UK and it didn’t come with a plug. The charger is different too and no longer has a usb point of entry. This means I won’t be able to charge my phone on the go, on my laptop, or on a USB tower. I have a battery charger that is no longer of use. It’s ridiculous. Why did apple change it? Do get more money out of costumers?! I suffer from anxiety and now this is really making me anxious. I’m travelling soon and I’m stressed out my phone will die half way there because I won’t be able to charge it in the normal places I can find USB entries to use.
