Magic keyboard wont close

All of a sudden my apple magic keyboard doesn’t close all the way. I have an iPad in that has fit perfectly until now. It’s not a compatibility issue and it all seems lined up as before. Has anyone seen this happen? What can I do?

MacBook Pro 15″, OS X 10.11

What specific model of iPad do you have?
Did you buy this Magic Keyboard with this specific iPad?
Does the keyboard work otherwise with the iPad as expected?
