Apple Watch says please continue setup on iPhone but iPhone is asking to hold Apple Watch up to the camera. Apple Watch face stays black??

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. Reviewing the related article If you can't pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone was a great idea, and we have a few more steps in mind that might help.

First, since you're seeing a black Apple Watch display, be sure your watch is charged by connecting it to power for at least 15 minutes.

From there, try restarting both your iPhone and Apple Watch, then try pairing them again.
