My 2020 MacBook Air M1 has uneven keyboard backlighting. The left side is much brighter than the right side. At night I have to squint to see right side in the dark, whereas left side is totally clear.
is this how it is designed, or something that needs to be fixed?

Is there any improvement when you adjust the keyboard backlighting?
Turn your Mac keyboard's backlighting on or off
If the issue persists, we recommend that you restart the MacBook Air and test the issue again.
Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
