Return policy
I bought Home Pod on 9/24/21. I want to return this item.
I understand you have 14 days policy however, the new home pod is being release soon and I want to be able to exchange for the latest model

HomePod (original AKA 2018) is no longer made, presumably you purchased a HomePod mini. The returns policy varies by country but assuming you are in the US and you bought at an Apple Store here are the terms: Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple. If your purchase was made elsewhere they might have different terms. As far as I know there are three new colours for the HomePod mini, but the hardware is otherwise unchanged. You can always call the store in question and ask.
